Power Permissions
Okay, so! Here is a link to Ambrosine's spellbook, and here is a link to her 5e stat block. I understand that not everyone is familiar with tabletop lingo, though, so I'd like to make this powers permission post to have an easy space for people to opt in or out of stuff.
Because the vast majority of these abilities require some sort of saving throw in game mechanics (other than a few outliers like Irresistible Dance), I'm just going to brush off your character being unaffected as them having succeeded on their "save", if Ambrosine makes an attempt.
I will generally assume that you are not okay with any of the effects below, other than True Sight (which can't be turned off), unless you opt in or we discuss beforehand. Ambrosine is OP as fuck, so I'd like to break down her capabilities here.

- True Sight: This is one of the biggies. If your character is magically disguised by any illusory means, Ambrosine can see your character's true appearance. (Transformations don't count, because that's an actual physical change.) She's also immune to any powers that rely on illusions, for the same reason. So! Tell me if your character will be affected by this, or if you don't want your character to be affected.
- Command Undead: If your character is an undead creature, such as a vampire, please read this! As a high-level necromancer, Ambrosine can hijack control of other undead creatures, making them obey her commands. The good news is that intelligent undead (such as vampires and ghosts) can try to break free.
- Necromancy: This is Ambrosine's bread and butter. She can make zombies. Do you want your character to be a zombie if they die? She can also talk to a corpse's animating essence for information via Speak With Dead.
- Memory Manipulation: Ambrosine can alter your character's memories of an event that lasted in the last 24 hours, provided that the event itself was no longer than 10 minutes. She will most likely use this for literal brain bleach, or, in one of the spell's more benevolent uses, modifying a memory so as to make it perfectly clear.
- Mind Control: Sweet, sweet mind control! Ambrosine has a number of spells at her disposal for this, so I'm going to list all of them:
- Suggestion: Lasts 8 hours. Ambrosine tells your character to do something that's not completely stupid (like "drink this delicious tea I totally didn't poison" or "give your horse to a random beggar"). Your character is not aware that they were charmed.
- Dominate Person: Straight up hypnosis, lasts 1 minute.
- Geas: Lasts for JESUS FUCK TWO FUCKING WEEKS. Your character is either asked to do some service for the duration, or to not do a thing. Your character takes actual psychic damage if they try to act directly counter to these demands. They cannot be issued any suicidal commands, and someone using magic that removes curses can also end this condition.
- Scrying: Ambrosine can use vectors such as crystals, mirrors, or large bodies of water to try to spy on your character.
- Telepathy: She can attempt to read your character's thoughts, via Detect Thoughts, but the deeper she goes, the more likely your character is to notice that they're being mind-read. She can also contact your character via Sending! These messages are always 25 words or less.
- Power Nullification: Ambrosine can attempt to use Dispel Magic or Counterspell to counteract with your character's abilities. This is always for a specific effect or attack, and can't be used long-term.
- Involuntary Shapeshifting: Via Polymorph! This lasts for up to an hour.
- More Involuntary Bodily Stuff: This is a pretty varied category, and includes things such as making someone dance involuntarily (Otto's Irresistible Dance), uncontrollable laughing (Hideous Laughter), just making them sick (Eyebite, Cloudkill, etc.), making them fall unconscious (Eyebite again), making them huge or tiny (Enlarge/Reduce) and so on. Ambrosine also has a signature spell of hers called Aging Touch which can age someone anywhere from 1 to 10 years, but a magical effect that removes curses ages the person down again.
- Controlling Dreams: Ambrosine can appear in your character's dreams to deliver messages! Here's the description of the Dream spell, for more details.
- Inducing Hallucinations: Several of Ambro's illusion spells work this way, whether it's just making your character take imaginary damage from an imaginary threat (Phantasmal Killer), making them see their worst fear (Fear), or trapping them in a hallucinatory baby jail (Mental Prison.)
- Magically-Induced Fear: Makes your character afraid, even if they might not be. Induced by Ambrosine's Frightening Gaze ability as well as spells such as Fear. Only works for a minute or five tops.
- Paralysis: Through her Paralyzing Touch or Hold Person. Lasts a minute or two tops.
- Gay Baby Jail: Forcecage creates a baby jail that can't be broken through, and requires extreme effort to teleport out of. This lasts about an hour maximum.
- Charm Effects: While Charm Person can't make someone obey you, it can make them regard you as a friendly acquaintance if they normally wouldn't give a shit. This lasts an hour tops, and your character will always be aware that they were magically mind-garbled at the end of it.
- Temporary Blindness/Deafness: Via the Blindness/Deafness spell. This only ever lasts about 1 minute tops.
